💜 I Love Handcrafted Jewelry
Goldsmithing is a craft with centuries of history — truly old-school. But thanks to modern techniques, it continues to evolve. While the foundations remain the same, so much more is possible today, and that’s exactly what makes it so exciting.
I love creating jewelry. It starts with sketching ideas and finding inspiration. Then the hands-on process begins: combining precious metals, gemstones, and tools. I use techniques like melting, sawing, drilling, filing, milling, sanding, polishing, soldering, and stone setting — all to bring a unique piece to life.
Each element plays its part in shaping something truly special — a handmade piece that often carries deep emotional meaning and is made to be worn and cherished for years.
🎓 Certified Goldsmith & Entrepreneur
It all began when I attended an open day at the Vakschool in Schoonhoven. I immediately knew this was the path for me. After finishing high school (HAVO), I enrolled in the accelerated Goldsmith Entrepreneur program. Three amazing years later, I received my diploma — and my real journey began: creating jewelry in my own unique style.
🇮🇹 Learning Abroad – Metallo Nobile, Florence
But I wasn’t done learning. There’s always more to discover in this craft. I challenged myself and spent three months alone in beautiful Florence, Italy. There, I trained at a small, traditional goldsmithing school and fell in love with the elegant Florentine style of jewelry.
💼 Experience & My Own Business
After returning from Italy, I began working at a large goldsmith repair studio that serves jewelers across the country. This gave me valuable experience in both repairs and custom work — all while launching my own jewelry brand.
During this time, I also completed an advanced course in setting small gemstones, including pavé setting under a microscope. This involved a pneumatic engraving tool, allowing for incredibly fine, detailed stone setting and engraving work.
💎 Member of the Dutch Guild of Goldsmiths
I’m proud to be a member of the Dutch Guild of Goldsmiths — a community where quality and craftsmanship are key. Membership is granted through a selective process, and I joined to continue growing, learning, and upholding the highest standards in my work.
